Hello and warm welcome from the home of Redsand Boxers, a purebred European Boxer Breeder in Eastern Canada. Thank you for visiting our site! We are situated near the beautiful North Shores of Rustico, Prince Edward Island. Our family loves the healthy ocean air and the red sand beaches, and so do our European Boxers. Running the beaches is pure FREEDOM for them, and trips to the beach are everyone's favorite by far!
My husband and I both grew up on dairy farms and have a love for animals of all shapes and sizes. We both have enjoyed the companionship of several different dog breeds growing up. We have some fond childhood memories of these four legged friends, but in our family the purebred European Boxer has by far stolen our hearts! The amount of love and loyalty they show, and their display of affection, even hugs(!) is so unique and heart warming. I call them the worlds largest lap dog :) They always show the same joyful energy towards life, and yet love to be lazy. Their clowning around and their head turning side to side at funny noises or singing, gets our family laughing every time! For me though its the great track record of love and gentleness towards children especially seals the deal. We love our European Boxers, and are proud of our loyal, beautiful friends. They enrich our lives and bring us more joy laughter and love. We love seeing them happy and watching them play with eachother and our children.
Our breeding program includes thorough health testing of the heart, spine, and hips. This is not just a simple vet health check. We test to ensure that our dogs do not have any heart diseases or affecting conditions such as Aortic/Pulmonary Stenosis and or cardiomyopathy, as these can bring tragic loss much to soon in our Boxer friends. The hips and spine are also tested to ensure there are no affecting levels of dystocia, or spondylosis deformans. Certain levels are considered normal, and breed-able around the world, but a responsible breeder will attempt to minimize the occurrence of these diseases for the future generations. We look to better the breed when carefully selecting our matches. Both parents are tested for approved health, and the history and pedigrees of both lines are taken into account. Every breed has their areas of health concerns, and perfection is a rarity in this world, but we aim to eliminate as many complications as we can by breeding responsibly. We love our four legged friends and strive to do our best for them and the future of the European Boxer!
We also have spent a lot of time researching nutrition and health for our Boxers, and strongly believe that a natural balanced RAW FOOD DIET is the best for them. We aim to build up our dogs natural immunity and great health from the inside out!
We are proud to be one of Canada's reputable dog breeders, and have a premier membership with the Canadian Kennel Club. We enjoy raising and nurturing health tested, sound temperament, beautiful Boxer babies that will become a part of your family! New puppies are a very exciting event in our family! They are raised in the warmth of our home, with the children, friends, hubby and I to give them lots of snuggles, love and playtime as they grow. It is a very busy time, with limited sleep, but so very rewarding to see big smiles and eyes full of love on their new family's faces!! The European lines absolutely steal my heart and the hearts of many others, and it brings me joy to share these great healthy and beautiful lines with you!
